Say Jump is a game you play by shouting at it. Here is what usually goes wrong.
Start a round and watch the bar at the bottom of the screen during the countdown. It moves when the game hears you. If it does not move at all, the microphone is not reaching the game — check Settings › Say Jump › Microphone.
If the bar moves but stays short of the mark, you are being heard but not loudly enough. Open Settings in the game and drag the sensitivity slider to the right; the same bar is there to test against.
Drag the sensitivity slider to the left. In a loud room the game will always be a little easier to startle.
The word is recognised, not the volume. A clear “jump” at speaking volume works better than a shout that swallows the end of the word. If you are being quick, the “p” tends to disappear — the game allows for that, but a crisp word is still the most reliable.
Yes. Recognition runs entirely on your phone. Only the online leaderboard needs a connection.
The microphone opens when a round begins and closes when you leave the app. Nothing is ever recorded or sent anywhere — see the privacy policy.
