Say Jump · last updated 18 August 2026
Say Jump listens for the word “JUMP”. That listening happens entirely on your phone: the audio is examined and thrown away, frame by frame. It is never recorded, never stored, and never sent anywhere — not to us, not to anyone. The app works with no internet connection at all.
Two things do leave your phone, and only these: the score and name you choose to put on the leaderboard, and the data the advertising in the app collects. Both are described below.
The game needs microphone access, because your voice is the only control. Audio is processed on the device by a speech model bundled inside the app. No audio is written to storage and none is transmitted. Turning the microphone off in iOS Settings stops the game from working, but nothing else.
If you choose to put a score on the leaderboard, a name of your choosing and the number of obstacles you cleared are stored on our database, hosted by Supabase. There is no account, no email address, and no identifier tying that entry to you or your device. Pick a name that you are happy to have shown publicly. Entries can be removed on request — see below.
The app shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob, which is how it is paid for. AdMob collects data of its own, typically including your device's advertising identifier, coarse device and usage information, and it may use this to personalise the advertising you see and to measure it. This data goes to Google, not to us — we receive only aggregate revenue figures.
| Data | Purpose | Collected by |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising identifier | Advertising, measurement | Google AdMob |
| Usage data | Advertising, measurement | Google AdMob |
| Chosen name and score | The leaderboard | Us, via Supabase |
| Audio | — | Nobody. It never leaves the device. |
On first launch iOS asks whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites. Declining is fine: the advertising simply becomes non-personalised, and the game is identical either way. You can change this answer at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
Google's own policy covers what they do with this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Your best score, your chosen name, the sound setting and the microphone sensitivity are stored on the device only. Deleting the app deletes them.
Say Jump is rated 4+ and contains nothing unsuitable for children, but it does show advertising and is not part of Apple's Kids Category. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Under the GDPR you may ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to a supervisory authority. In practice the only data we hold is a leaderboard entry, if you made one. Write to the address below with the name you used and we will remove it.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
